PlayNet Blaine
Registration for the 2021 PlayNet program will begin
on Monday, April 5 at 8AM.

Blast off on an out-of-this-world adventure to PlayNet Blaine. This playground program is coming to a neighborhood park near you. The Cosmic Fun Van will be landing with our highly trained recreation crew, taking kids on a quest for the best summer on Earth. This supervised and structured program focuses on fun, physical fitness, socialization, and exploring creativity by offering age-appropriate active games and sport-related activities; encouraging kids to meet other kids in the neighborhood; and providing planned arts and crafts projects and drama activities based on weekly themes!
PlayNet Blaine is available for children who have completed kindergarten to grade 5.
PlayNet Blaine Junior is available for toilet trained children ages 3 1/2 - 5.

Rain:
The PlayNet Blaine program will be held on rainy days.
Sites:
West Lake, Happy Acres, and Legacy Creek activities will take place at Happy Acres Park, located at 11900 - 7th Street NE during your designated time.
Sites:
Lexington, Sunrise Elementary, Quail Creek, and Kane Meadows activities will take place at Lexington Athletic Complex, located at 4286 - 121st Avenue NE during your designated time.
Severe Weather:
When there is a severe weather watch including Anoka County, all programs will be cancelled. If the watch is issued during a program, participants parents will be call or please come immediately to pick up your child.
Please check our website BlaineParks.com for all updates about our program being cancelled or shortened due to weather.
Meeting Location:
By the Playground or Shelter
Each child in the PlayNet Blaine program will be required to check-in and check-out each day as well as inform staff of their means of transportation (I.e. walk, bike, car, etc.) Children are required to stay for the duration of the program. If you need your child to leave early, please write a note and give it to the staff.
Picking Up Your Child On Time:
Please be courteous and drop-off/pick-up your child according to the scheduled hours of the program. We cannot accommodate children arriving early or being picked up late. The leaders need the extra time to clean up, prepare and move on to the next location.
If you pick up your child late there will be a late fee.
Late fee is $10 for every 5 minutes, needs to be paid at the time of pick up.
Water:
Children should bring a water bottle, labeled with their name. At many locations there is no access to water. There will be a water jug available if your child forgets their water bottle.
Dress:
Please dress your child for the weather as well as for running & playing. Children should wear tennis shoes or sport sandals.
Bug Spray and Sunscreen:
Please apply bug spray and sunscreen on your child before they leave home. Staff can not apply bug spray or sunscreen to your child.
Accidents & Injuries:
In the event of an injury, staff will perform minor first aid. If the injury is severe, staff will call 911. In all cases, staff will notify the parents and complete an accident report, which will be on file at the Park & Recreation Office.
Emergency Cards:
All participants must have a completed emergency form on file at the playground site. This provides our staff with needed information should your child become ill or injured. Please make sure that all information is current and that you include daytime phone numbers such as cell phones, work, and multiple emergency contacts.
