Blaine City Hall is Open by Appointment Only
Most city business can still be conducted remotely by contacting staff by email or phone. You can find contact information at BlaineMN.gov/Directory.
If have reviewed the planning page and have other concerns that would be better addressed in person, you may schedule an appointment. Once your appointment is received, you will be contacted by a planner to assist you in preparing for your appointment.
Planning is available for in-person appointments for:

Application Submittal Information
- Before completing and/or submitting an application, please contact the Planning Department to discuss your project needs.
- Applications will not be considered complete without payment. Payment is accepted via credit card during the online application process (credit cards will incur a 2.5% fee).
Application Deadlines and Hearing Dates
All deadlines are 4:30PM on the date shown. The Blaine Planning Commission meets at 7PM on the second Tuesday of the month in the city hall council chambers. The Blaine City Council meets at 7:30PM on the first and third Monday of the month in the city hall council chambers.
The City of Blaine has established a policy and procedure to allow for new or expanded outdoor seating areas for restaurants in response to social distancing and occupancy requirements for restaurants to open for on-site dining due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This policy is in effect until April, 2021.
