Meter Reading

The City is having trouble remotely reading your water meter. Normally, this is due to an issue between the radio and the City's receiver. The normal procedure would be for a City meter technician to come out and troubleshoot the issue. However, at this time, the City has suspended this operation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for your health and safety and that of the City's technician.

To ensure accurate billing, please provide a current meter reading.

How to Locate and Read Your Meter

  1. Locate your meter. Meters are located inside, typically in a basement utility room. The meter will look like one of the pictures below.
  2. Read the dials on the meter.
  3. Submit the reading to the City using the Meter Reading Submission Form.
  4. When the reading is received, the City will compare the submitted reading to the estimated reading. Readings that are not within 8,000 gallons of the estimated reading will be adjusted and a new bill will be generated.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Utility Billing Monday thru Friday, 8AM-4:30PM.
