Overview

Special assessments are a compulsory charge for a particular improvement or service which benefits the owners of certain properties and which are also undertaken in the interest of the public.

View Special Assessments

Special assessments can be viewed online or a computer is available at Blaine City Hall in the Engineering Department at no charge. The Property Identification Number (PIN) is needed to utilize the computer. A written search may be obtained for $15.

Senior Citizen Special Assessment Deferral

The City of Blaine does endorse the principle of deferment of special assessments for certain senior citizens where the payment of said special assessments constitute a hardship. More details are included in Resolution 12-112.

The following forms are required in order to process a request for Senior Citizen Deferment. Both forms must be completed and signed.
