The Spring Lake Park - Blaine - Mounds View (SBM) Fire Department is a nonprofit corporation managed by a Fire Board consisting of firefighters and community representatives. Blaine Representatives must either live or work full time in Blaine and works closely with the Fire Chief offering final approving authority for most administrative and financial items for the corporation. The Board of Directors meet six (6) times/year to review policies, financial documents, and the overall administration of the Fire Department as presented by the SBM Fire Chief. The Fire Chief is the Chief Executive Officer of the Department and reports directly to the Board. Board meetings are held Tuesday evenings with one daytime meeting mid-summer.
