To Residents of Deacon’s Walk and the Surrounding Areas,Coming on the heels of the announcement of the 3M Open coming to TPC Twin Cities in 2019, there have been questions about potential construction projects as a result of the event becoming an official PGA TOUR event. While project details have not been finalized, the scope of work in its entirety will take place on the golf course at TPC Twin Cities in preparation to host PGA TOUR players next summer. We do not anticipate that this work will affect the residents in the surrounding neighborhood. Work on the golf course will begin August 6 and will move quickly to ensure the course project is completed by the end of the 2018 growing season.Given the expedited nature of the construction project, the scope of work remains fluid, but we will provide pertinent information consistently as that scope becomes definitive. From a tournament week standpoint, residents can expect heightened security as is standard with all PGA TOUR events. Attendees will be asked to show official event tickets or credentials in order to enter into any part of the golf course property during the event week. While there are not currently plans to construct permanent fencing around the property, residents can expect temporary perimeter fencing to ensure only ticketed patrons are able to enter the premises. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
