Construction Plans Approved

Water Treatment Plant 4 Rendering - 300

The Blaine City Council has approved a contract for construction of Water Treatment Plant 4. When completed, the plant will provide water treatment for future growth in the northeast portion of the City. The plant will be located on a 10 acre parcel at Lexington Avenue and 122nd Avenue NE, next to the new water tower.

Water Treatment Plant 4 will treat raw groundwater for iron and manganese removal. The plant will improve the quality of the groundwater to comply with primary and secondary drinking water standards.

Construction will start this summer and the 60,500 square foot plant should be completed and operational by 2022. The low bid on the proposal was received from Gridor Construction at a total cost of $24,668,600.
