In August, 130 Blaine students spent two days learning about safety. The always popular Blaine Safety Camp celebrated its return after being canceled last summer due to COVID-19. The students were joined by public safety professionals as their camp counselors. The kids learned about animal safety, bullying prevention, bike safety, self-control, railroad safety, electrical safety, fire safety, personal safety, and injury prevention. The Blaine Police Department also gave an information presentation and brought out a K9 team for a demonstration.
The two day camp also included fun games, inflatables, food, dance parties, new friends, and lots of memories made. Safety Camp concluded with a ceremony at SBM Fire Station 3 and ice cream provided by Big Dipper. Thanks to everyone who participated.
