The Blaine City Council is working towards completion of the annual budget and tax levy. The council will formally vote on the general fund budget and tax levy at their December 19, 2022 meeting. There are a couple of upcoming opportunities for Blaine residents to learn more about the budget process and priorities.
Facebook Town Hall, November 17, 7PM: Learn about the process that city staff and the Blaine City Council use to build the yearly budget. Hear from Mayor Sanders and City Councilmembers on their priorities for the upcoming year and ask your questions about the city budget. Submit your questions ahead of time to [email protected]. Watch the town hall live on the City of Blaine Facebook page on November 17 at 7PM.
Truth in Taxation, December 12, 7PM: The annual truth in taxation hearing will be held on Monday, December 12 at 7PM in the Blaine City Council Chambers at Blaine City Hall. City staff will share information regarding the City of Blaine 2023 general fund budget and annual tax levy. The truth in taxation hearing is an opportunity for residents to ask questions and share comments on the 2023 general fund budget and tax levy.
