Blaine is a city known for its commitment to community and recreation, and now the City is ready to add something unique to its impressive collection of parks. Near 131st Avenue and Lever Street, Sunrise Ponds Park is set to become the 66th park in the City, but what truly sets Sunrise Ponds Park apart is the playground it’s bringing to the table – the Quantis 8.2 by Landscape Structures Inc.
A state-of-the-art play structure that is unlike any other in the region. The new figure-eight-shaped playscape is a twist of features for kids to traverse, designed to offer a multi-layered play experience for users of all ages and abilities. There are less than 10 of these play structures in the United States, and this will be the first one in Minnesota.
In addition to the Quantis, Sunrise Ponds Park will also feature a playground for younger children, a picnic shelter, a walking path, and this park will also connect to Sunrise Ponds Open Space by trail for the neighborhood to enjoy.
The park is expected to open this fall. For more information on parks throughout the City, visit BlaineParks.com/Facilities.
