The Parks and Recreation Department hosted World Fest on Saturday, May 16, at Town Square Park. The event was a huge success! Around 2.200 people came out to enjoy the event. World Fest is an amazing event that brings the community together to celebrate the rich diversity of our community.
Blaine World Fest promotes the sharing of cultural experiences and expands our community’s cultural understanding through entertainment, delicious cuisine, art, conversation, and exhibits. Entertainment and activities were free. A five dollar punch card gave participants access to samples from 12 local restaurants.
The event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors. The primary funder of the event was a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council through the Clean Water Land and Legacy Amendment. Other sponsors include the Blaine Festival, JamesHardie Siding and Trim, Chili’s, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Andrea-Studio Web Design,
Minnesota School of Business, Anoka County, Target, Advanced Disposal, Sarah Grace Photography, and Allegra Print and Imaging.
