2021 Blaine Festival Medallion Hunt Winner and Clue Explanations
Congratulations to Mike Nowak who found the medallion in Pioneer Park on Monday morning just before 11AM. Below are the clues with the clue explanations. Thanks to everyone who participated and we look forward to another good medallion hunt in 2022.

Head above the 12 if you want to be happy as a lark!
We want to honor our mayor of 24 years Tom Ryan. His newly named park in front of city hall also has a Veterans Memorial within the park (Tears). It is not in this park. Stay north of 109th
(Anoka County Road 12).
The Scouts aren’t watching so stay up to par
To claim the loot, you won’t be able to see it from your car
Get on your gear to get out of the heat
Your wheels are spinning, it’s no time for defeat!
The Scouts mean that is not at a ball field and refers to the Scouts that worked on the park amenities back in the 80’s. It is in the woods so you can’t see it from your car. The woods are heavily shaded and you can bike (Wheels Spinning) or walk (defeat) down the trail.
Point North to head up towards the clouds
Don’t succumb to the cheering of the crowds
To be our winner you must dress like a Champion!
Figure it out and use your determination.
Point North refers to Northpoint Elementary which is nearby the park. Clouds refers to the two cloud streets that are nearby. Stay away from Jim Peterson Park that has parents cheering on their kids. Champion refers to the t- shirt that the medallion is wrapped in.
The Old World bird circles the park through creek and woods
Be a pioneer and settle in on the territory
Keep it on the down low so you can find the goods
Naturally, it will be a success story.
Old World bird refers to Quail creek and Quail woods the surrounding neighborhoods. Pioneer tells you it is at Pioneer Park. On the low refers to where the medallion is hidden in a low area. Naturally refers to all of the nature within the park and the nearby trees.

Do some hunting to come up with 350
Walk to the west where it is always best, and grab the grail!
On the ground you will find a championship t-shirt with our coveted prize
Congratulations, our piece of ice will cool you down on this warm summer day!
Tells you that the medallion is in Pioneer Park on the west side of the paved trail. It is near the tree that is tagged 350. It is on the ground under some leaves and sticks wrapped in a Blaine championship t-shirt. Piece of ice refers to this year’s acrylic medallion.
