Fraud Reports

Over the past week or so, BPD officers have received a few “fraud” type reports.  They range from a request of $10k in bitcoin to be sent and money requests where
the suspect asks the victim to wire money from Walmart. Remember folks, if someone you have never met or don’t know contacts you and requests you to send money, don’t!
It’s a scam.  This includes anyone from a dating site you may be part of.  The moment a person you are communicating with asks for money, block and report them to the site admin. The IRS will not call and ask you for money.

If you witness...

If you witness what looks like a package theft (or any crime in progress)  please call and report it immediately 9-1-1. If it looks suspicious, it is. While I appreciate the emails letting me know, this crime needs to be reported asap.

Visit with BPD Officers at Saturday's Indoor Farmer's Market at City Hall

Saturday, December 16  is the indoor farmers market at Blaine City Hall.  Stop by and visit with BPD officers and check out what the vendors have to offer.
The market is open from 9 AM to 1 PM and officers will be there from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Heroes and Helpers

Heroes and Helpers (also known as Shop with a Cop) was a huge success.  Officer Michelle Ross organizes this awesome event.  Officers from surrounding agencies join us to help under privileged area school children shop for their families.  Check out the photos here:  Their smiles are priceless.   St. Paul PD made national news on December 11 when they hosted their shop with a cop event.
