The site is mostly wooded with a small prairie and a cattail marsh.Black locust has been removed to restore that area to its former prairie condition. A wide variety of native plants is starting to flourish there. Visitors will see a variety of birds, mammals and amphibians. There are paved trails, a parking lot, and picnic shelters.
